Terms of Service

OpenDays OS (opendays.app) is operated by Bay View Eye Care, LLC, Miami, Florida. Last updated: October 13, 2026.

The service

Open Days lets practices post open optometrist days and lets optometrists claim them, and gives employers schedule and pay-run tools. Open Days is a matching tool; it is not the employer of any optometrist and does not provide clinical services.

Accounts

You must give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and hold any license your work requires. Optometrists are responsible for their own licensure and credentials; practices are responsible for verifying them.

Connected calendars

Connecting Google Calendar gives Open Days read-only access you can revoke at any time. Open Days never changes or deletes your calendars. Schedules and coverage flags are shown as-is from your calendars; please confirm important days directly.

Acceptable use

No protected health information, no unlawful, misleading or spam content, and no attempts to break, scrape or misuse the service.

Pay and agreements

Rates, payment and the working relationship are between the practice and the optometrist. Pay statements are informational and are not tax or legal advice. Optometrists who claim days are not employees, agents or partners of Open Days or Bay View Eye Care, LLC, and Open Days does not supervise or direct clinical work. Whether an optometrist is an employee or independent contractor of a practice is decided between them.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, Bay View Eye Care, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited to amounts you paid for the service in the prior 12 months.

Patient check-in

If you turn on check-in, you must use a Google Workspace account with Google's HIPAA Business Associate Agreement accepted. Check-in data is saved only in your Google account; OpenDays OS does not store it. You are responsible for your Workspace settings, who can open your check-in sheet, and your obligations to patients under HIPAA and Florida law.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and using Open Days for a business or professional purpose.

Changes and law

We may update these terms with notice in the app. Florida law governs, with venue in Miami-Dade County.
